Bioinformatics The Bioinformatics Department combines expertise in biology, chemistry, parallel computing, and applied mathematics to drive novel bioinformatics algorithms and methods for executing previously impossible computations through parallel computing. Our core focus has placed Liberty as a leader in next generation sequencing (NGS) and applied algorithm development to solve complex problems in biotechnology, precision medicine, and government.
Precision Medicine Liberty's team of scientists conduct research to enable precision diagnosis and treatment of cancer, as well as chronic and infectious disease.
From discovery to application, Liberty specializes in advanced molecular biology and the leveraging of novel extremophiles to address the growing challenges presented by antibiotic resistance, and threats posed by naturally occurring and man-made biological infectious agents. Liberty also researches and pursues commercial and industrial applications of this novel biology.
