Computational Scientist

Liberty BioSecurity, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computational Scientist to be a part of our Expeditionary Science and Special Programs team in Worcester, Massachusetts. Primary responsibilities include the development of computational and statistical tools for the analysis of gene function and proteomics from next generation sequencing data of novel organisms. Activities support the microbial and pathogen identification, microbiome analysis, precision medicine applications, and regulatory testing for commercial, government and genetic intelligence applications. The successful candidate can work effectively in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment of researchers and data science sections.


Senior Microbiologist/Biochemist

Liberty Biosecurity is currently looking for a Senior Microbiologist/Biochemist to join the Expeditionary and Special Programs Division located in Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with great communication and troubleshooting skills. A strong work ethic and a strong team mentality are essential. The successful candidate would direct a small team of scientist along with developing and performing various experiments in the area(s) of identifying and characterizing novel enzymes and antimicrobial compounds. The successful candidate and team would be responsible for identifying, purifying, and testing the efficacy of these compounds/enzymes against various BSL2 organisms. The successful candidate is expected to have a PhD with 4+ years of experience or a MS with 6+ years of experience in purifying and characterizing compounds/enzymes from organisms, testing antimicrobial compounds on various surfaces, and developing screening methods for novel compounds. The candidate should have experience in HPLC analysis along with SDSPAGE, protein concentrations.


Microbiology Research Associate

Liberty Biosecurity is currently looking for a Microbiology Research Associate to join the Expeditionary and Special Programs Division located in Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with great communication and troubleshooting skills. A strong work ethic and a strong team mentality are essential. The successful candidate would help a small team of scientist prepare and run a variety of experiments. The successful candidate would be responsible for preparing supplies and testing the efficacy of novel compounds/enzymes against various BSL2 organisms. The successful candidate is expected to have a BS with 2+ years of experience or a MS with 0+ years of experience in testing antimicrobial compounds on various surfaces, cultivating cultures, waste management, preparing media, and plate counts/MPN’s. The candidate should have experience using spectrophotometers, centrifuges, lyophilizers, autoclaves, pH meters, and other standard laboratory equipment.
